Opportunity for Law Enforcement
Rapid Response To Active Shooters
Training
Police officers
from campus and municipal
departments in the region are
invited to participate in Rapid
Response to Active Shooters training
on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday,
April 13.
This CLEET
approved training will take place on
the UCO campus. Officers interested
in attending this training should
contact Sgt. Shirley Lanning with
the UCO Police Department at
(405)974-2345.
Summit attendees
are encouraged to participate in the
final hours of this two day training
as observers and witnesses in
several training scenarios.
Summit attendees will need to report to the
main east entrance to the Nigh
University Center by 3:00 p.m. on
Sunday, April 13.
Attendees will be
required to
sign a liability waiver and will
be issued protective glasses. The
training will conclude with a
debriefing and discussion for Summit
attendees and officers involved in
the two day training.
A Summit
welcome reception will follow at the
Nigh University Center.
There is no
additional cost for Summit attendees
participating in this Sunday event.
